Welcome to Nieuw. Nieuw is a white-label trip management platform operated by Yutrp ("Yutrp", "we", "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information that travel agents and their customers share with us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, share, and protect data when you use the Nieuw platform, apps and services.
1. Scope and Applicability
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- Travel agents and agencies ("Agents") who use Nieuw to manage Bookings made through Yutrp and to share trip access with their customers; and
- Customers of Agents ("Travellers") who log in to Nieuw using credentials issued by their Agent to view their itinerary and trip details.
Nieuw may be presented under the Agent's own brand. Whatever the branding, the platform is operated by Yutrp as described in this policy.
2. Roles: Agent and Yutrp
2.1 For Traveller data, the Agent is the data controller ("Data Fiduciary" under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). The Agent decides what Traveller data is entered on Nieuw and with whom access is shared.
2.2 Yutrp acts as a data processor for Traveller data and processes it on behalf of the Agent to provide the platform.
2.3 For Agent account and business data, Yutrp is the data controller.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Agent & Business Information
- Name, agency name, business registration details
- Email address, phone number, contact information
- Agent branding such as logo and brand name
- KYC documentation (PAN, GST, Aadhaar, etc.), where required
3.2 Traveller & Booking Data (provided by the Agent)
- Traveller name, age, gender, contact details
- Passport, visa and ID proof details (if applicable)
- Itineraries, booking details, tickets, vouchers and travel documents
- Travel preferences and special requests
3.3 Traveller Account Data
- Login credentials issued by the Agent
- Login history and activity on the platform
- Any information the Traveller adds or updates in the app
3.4 Financial Information
- Wallet and transaction details of Agents, as per the Yutrp Privacy Policy
- Payment transaction references, where payments are made through the platform
3.5 Technical Information
- IP address, device type, operating system, app version
- Cookies, usage logs and session data
- Push notification tokens
- Location data, only if a location-based feature is used and the user has given permission
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Display itineraries, booking details and travel documents to Agents and their Travellers
- Create and authenticate Agent and Traveller accounts
- Send trip updates, alerts and notifications
- Provide trip-related services enabled by the Agent or Yutrp
- Provide customer support and resolve disputes
- Improve the functionality, security, and performance of our platform
- Detect and prevent fraud and unauthorised access
- Comply with legal, tax, and audit obligations
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process data under the following legal bases, as applicable under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws (including the GDPR, where it applies):
- Contractual necessity (to provide services)
- Consent (obtained by the Agent from Travellers, or by us where explicitly required)
- Legal compliance
- Legitimate interest (fraud prevention, system security)
Agents are responsible for obtaining Travellers' consent before entering their data on Nieuw or sharing login credentials with them.
6. Information Sharing
We may share information with:
- The Agent who created the Booking (Traveller activity and data related to their Bookings)
- Travel service providers (airlines, hotels, tour operators) for booking execution and updates
- Third-party vendors (payment gateways, messaging and notification services, maps, fraud detection services)
- Cloud infrastructure and API partners supporting our platform
- Regulatory authorities, if legally obligated
Traveller data is visible only to the Agent who created the Booking, to Travellers holding login credentials for that Booking, and to Yutrp for providing the service.
We do not sell Agents' or Travellers' personal information.
7. Payments
- Payments made through the platform are processed via third-party payment gateways.
- Sensitive payment data such as card details is never stored on our servers.
- Agent wallet transactions are governed by the Yutrp Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
8. Cookies, Analytics and Notifications
- We use cookies and similar technologies for login sessions, analytics, fraud detection, and personalisation.
- You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
- Push notifications can be turned off through device settings.
- Location access can be turned off at any time through device settings.
9. Data Retention
- Agent data is retained as long as the Agent's account is active and as required by law or internal policies.
- Traveller data and access are retained for the duration of the trip and for a reasonable period after, as determined by the Agent or Yutrp, or as required to comply with service provider and tax regulations.
- When an Agent's account is terminated, Traveller access linked to that account is disabled, and data is deleted or anonymised unless retention is required by law.
10. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable safeguards including:
- SSL encryption
- Role-based access controls, so each Traveller can access only their own Booking
- Regular security audits and compliance checks
Agents must share Traveller login credentials securely and only with the relevant Travellers. Travellers should keep their login credentials confidential.
11. Your Rights
Agents may:
- Access, correct, or delete their personal data
- Object to certain types of data processing
- Request restriction of data use
- Contact us at support@yutrp.com for any requests or concerns
Travellers may access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data, or withdraw consent, by contacting their travel agent directly, as the Agent controls their data on Nieuw. Yutrp will support Agents in responding to such requests.
12. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Your data may be processed or stored in countries with different data protection laws, including where required for international travel bookings. In such cases, we ensure adequate protection mechanisms are in place.
13. Children's Data
Bookings may include Travellers under 18 years of age. Data of such Travellers is entered by the Agent and must be provided with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian. Login credentials for a Booking that includes minors should be shared with the parent or guardian. We do not knowingly allow minors to create independent accounts.
14. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
